Rio, Pt 1

What a place! Apologies, too good to limit to only 20 pics. Electric.

Beautiful thing to see a city so alive with a passion for sport all hours of the day.

Anything you can possibly think of, and someone on the beach will be selling it.

Challenged a local kid to the football table tennis game (Teqball). Was very quickly humbled. Harder than it looks.

Our hostel was up a favela in Leme. Certainly a unique experience. Coming face to face with men walking round casually holding assault rifles takes some getting used to.. But the people are very friendly and I personally had no issues at all whilst in Rio.

Went to Maracaña twice to try watch a game. Failed twice. Seems nigh impossible for foreigners to get in there without paying an arm and a leg.

Also decided I’m more of a live samba man than the Brazilian funk scene (sorry Johnny).
