San Blas Islands

5 days sailing from Panama to Colombia, via the San Blas Islands. Fortunate enough to meet such a lovely bunch of people & was one of the best things I’ve ever done!

An unbelievable first 3 days chilling at different islands (and sleeping in peaceful waters). Stunning. Literally had the place to ourselves most of the time. Chef also pulling it out the bag.

@lifeofjerrashortpants your made up walking tours will always have a special place in my heart. An intense volleyball series, with 1 team only ever going to win..

Featuring Zach and I astounding the locals on night 1 with a karaoke classic. Also bonfire night got slightly out of hand.

Then to the open water sailing on final few days. I would like to warn anyone who has not taken Malarone before that it deals with seasickness by simply knocking you out. On first try I became completely possessed when woken for dinner, as shown in final vid. In its defence though, I successfully didn’t throw up the whole trip.

Final night things took a real turn when a storm hit. Books flying off shelves above our heads, pans flying around the kitchen, and being generally thrown around, all made sleep tough even when drugged up. Really is surreal though being a pin drop in the middle of the ocean.

Thankfully, el capitan steered us all to safety unharmed, arriving into Cartagena, Colombia. Sea legs when back on land is definitely a real thing.

To clarify, no it is not a Swastika on the flag - it is an ancient symbol of the Kuna people.

A moment to celebrate completing Central America and crossing continents as of 18 March 2025. Onto South America 🙏
